ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Kim Hall, the owner and pet sitter for Gretta's Pals. As someone who is owned by several fur babies, I know how hard it is to turn them over to someone new. That's why as your personal pet sitter, I will do my best to make sure your pets stay safe, happy and comfortable while you're away.

I’ve had a lifetime of caring for all kinds of pets and to me a house just isn’t a home without at least one pet. With two dogs, two cats and two guinea pigs, my husband says our home is full enough, but I'm still trying to convince him that a pot-bellied pig would complete our happiness.:)

Growing up I had the usual assortment of cats and dogs, but my pet family also consisted of cows, pigs, chickens, bunnies, horses, frogs, turtles, salamanders and even a one-clawed crawdad.

I was an only child, so I guess it was only natural that I developed a loving bond with all kinds of critters at an early age. Luckily, I had parents who understood my love for animals.

Before starting my pet sitting business, I worked as a veterinary receptionist, assistant and kennel worker at a large clinic and boarding kennel. I also spent six years as both an employee and a volunteer for the Ottawa Shores Humane Society.

Regardless of the type of facility I worked at, most of the dogs and cats in my care were terrified of being in a kennel situation. My heart went out to both the homeless strays and the well-loved but totally frightened pets in the kennel.

That’s why I love being a pet sitter. Not only does it allow me to fulfill a lifelong dream of working with animals, but it also lets me protect the pets in my care from having to spend even one night in such a terrifying situation.

MY FAMILY

I live in Michigan with my husband Jeff and two stepsons, Zach and Dylan, and our two dogs, two cats and two guinea pigs. The guys all share my love of animals and Jeff even helps with pet sitting during busy times.
