Spaying and Neutering Program Through donations, we are able to assist pet owners in the White Lake area with the cost of spaying and neutering their pets.
Humane Education Program Each year we visit the 2nd grade students at Whitehall’s Shoreline Elementary School and the 3rd grade students at Montague’s R.R. Oehrli Elementary School to teach them about good pet care and humane treatment for their pets. This is a fun time for both the students and PBF members as the lessons are taught through the use of visual aids in an interactive way.
MONTHLY MEETINGS
Membership meetings are held on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 7pm at the White Lake Area Chamber of Commerce (located in the caboose on the corner of Hanson Street and Colby). We welcome anyone who is interested to attend our meetings. We do not meet during the month of August.
ANNUAL EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES
Each year members of PBF participate in fundraisers and events to generate awareness and to raise funds for our programs.
ANNUAL TAG DAYS – look for members of PBF on the streets of downtown Whitehall and Montague as they collect donations to help with humane education and the spay/neuter program.
DOG WALKS – PBF participates in a Dog Walk each year for fun and a chance to raise funds. Walkers are invited to find sponsors to “fund” their pet trek. The public is also invited to join in just for fun. If you would like to participate, just bring your leashed pet and walk along with us. The walk normally starts on Ferry Street in Montague and follows the bridge across White Lake, ending at Goodrich Park. It’s a great time for furry friends and their two legged companions to get a little exercise and some much deserved social time.
PARADES – Come join us as we march in the White Lake Area, 4th of July Parade and the Christmas parade. We would love to have you bring your 4-legged friends and march along with us!
