Once again, the Wishbones for Pets recipient was Lifeline for Pound Buddies. They were chosen because of their hard work and devotion to all of the dogs who end up at the Muskegon County dog pound. They truly are the one and only chance these dogs have! The fundraiser was held at the White Lake Congregational Church at 1809 S. Mears, Whitehall, MI 49461. I want to say thanks to Pastor Pam Koebel for all her support and for everyone who donated. With your help we were able to raise $168.14 in cash and goods even in this tough economy.

Want to donate for cats and kittens?
While Pound Buddies is not able to house cats and kittens at vector animal control, they do offer rescue and adoptions through
Faithful to Felines.
Faithful to Felines is an extension of Pound Buddies. They're a non-profit organization that rescues cats and kittens and places them in new homes. Any kitty donations are appreciated and will be put to good use. You can see some of the wonderful cats available for adoption online or visit some of them in person at the PetCo store located at 5239 Harvey Street (near the mall) in Muskegon.
WHAT IS WISHBONES FOR PETS?
Wishbones for Pets
is a charitable program designed for pet sitters to collect pet goods and funds from their community for distribution to a local shelter. The program runs from Mid October through Thanksgiving, and was started by Janet Depathy of Under My Wings Pet Sitting in Plymouth, Ma. To find out more, visit www.wishbonesforpets.com.
WHO IS LIFELINE FOR POUND BUDDIES?
Lifeline for Pound Buddies is a non-profit organization made up of devoted caring concerned volunteers. The main goals of L.F.P.B are to find suitable homes for the homeless animals that end up at the local dog pound, and to promote spaying and neutering of companion animals along with the promotion of humane education, especially in the area of proper pet care. L.F.P.B encourages adoptions from the local dog pound and advertises animals that are available for adoption. We work with breed rescue groups, and other humane groups whenever possible. L.F.P.B does a limited amount of foster care, mostly for short-term or special needs cases.
